An actor and a website hooked up to help a special needs day.
In 2015, Special Kids Care finished their first phase of improvements on their facility on Tecumseh near North Sheridan.
The project covered a wheelchair-accessible music garden for the daycare’s playground.
Now, the daycare would like to build more playground equipment, like a full-support swing for wheelchair-bound children.
The facility also hopes to complete necessary renovations at the building.
To help out, actor Edward Norton and website theCHIVE joined together for a flash campaign.
On Norton’s website, Crowdrise, the campaign raised $34,000 more than its goal of $100,000 for a current total of $134,025.
