Account Executive, East (Ad Sales)

Chive Media Group is looking for an Account Executive to join its Sales team in our New York City office.

Pay for the high performers, OTE including Base, Commission, and Bonuses combined can be $225,000 (uncapped)

The Account Executive will be focused on selling against Chive Media Group’s Atmosphere & CHIVE TV platform, with the ability to sell everything under the CMG hood including as part of a 360 package.

CHIVE TV & Atmosphere are the first-ever content programming platforms designed specifically for viewership outside the home. With 70% of our waking hours spent out of home, up 50% over the last two decades, Chive Media Group created a unique video strategy that entertains audiences where they are spending their time. With family-friendly channels like CHIVE TV, Happy TV, Motivate TV, and more, brands are quickly recognizing that this innovative platform is an extremely impactful and cost-effective way to reach an audience.

We are looking for a hustler, go-getter and someone who will evangelize our brand to agencies and clients directly on the East Coast. We’re not looking for an order taker. You should be self-motivated, ambitious, a fast learner and eager to make a real contribution. Don’t even bother applying if this isn’t you.

This position will be based in New York City and will report to the VP of Sales.

Job Description

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospect, pitch, close, and renew accounts
  • Introduce CHIVE TV & Atmosphere's unique offering to agency contacts and client direct, educating the market on how best to allocate video dollars towards this platform
  • Understand the whole CMG offering and package it to clients as a 360 buy with Atmosphere
  • Work with our sales support teams to grow and expand your existing accounts
  • Manage RFP prioritization to weed out time wasters vs value-added relationships
  • Drive proactive outreach while collaborating with your sales support team
  • Uses data analytics to boost narrative to clients
  • Own Salesforce responsibilities associated with your client list
  • Convey client feedback with recommendations based on this feedback to sales leadership
  • Stay on top of industry trends, events, new technologies, unique opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising (or related major)
  • Up to 5 years of experience in an agency setting
  • Deep relationships with agencies and larger brands you’ve built over the years that you can immediately bring value to CMG
  • Ability to build and foster relationships both internally and externally
  • Exceptional communicator and compelling presenter with excellent negotiation skills
  • Can tailor their own pitch materials to each client
  • Know how to identify a need and close based on fulfillment of that need
  • Seek opportunity in challenge, rejection and failure
